The following is a 3D demonstration of a catalytic muffler designed to fit a two-stroke fire-pump engine. For this specific application, as with the majority of two stroke engines, exhaust tuning is required to help achieve maximum combustion, cooling and performance. Therefore, an expansion chamber (see graphical representation below) is used in conjunction with the muffler for this application.
